The State of Florida will be represented by eight Florida Senior Games women’s softball teams at the 2023 National Senior Games Softball Championship, May 3-7, at Lou Berliner Sports Complex, in Columbus, Ohio.
A total of 95 teams, 73 women’s teams and 22 men’s teams will be on the field, playing in five age groups. The softball championships precedes the 2023 National Senior Games, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, July 7-18.
The eight teams competing in Columbus qualified for the National Senior Games at the Florida Senior Games Softball Championships, in September, 2022 at the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex, in Leesburg.

Golden Players – 50+, 2022 Florida Senior Games Gold Medalists
Slugger Strong – 55+, 2022 Florida Senior Games Gold Medalists
Sunny Beaches – 55+, 2022 Florida Senior Games Silver Medalists
Cappers – 60+, 2022 Florida Senior Games Silver Medalists
Golden Players – 60+, 2022 Florida Senior Games Gold Medalists
Sunny Beaches – 65+. 2022 Florida Senior Games Gold Medalists, Competitive Division
Villages Senior Diamonds – 65+, 2022 Florida Senior Games Gold Medalists, Recreational Division
Golden Players – 75+, 2022 Florida Senior Games Gold Medalists
The three Golden Players teams are from The Villages, as well as the Villages Senior Diamonds and Sunny Beaches 65+ team. Slugger Strong is made up of players from the Tampa Bay area and the Sunny Beaches 55 is from a variety of Florida cities. The Cappers rosters is made up of players from the southwest Florida coast stretching from Bradenton to Port Charlotte.
