2024 Florida Senior Games, presented by Humana, December, TBD, Florida's Sports Coast/Pasco County

Tuesday, December 10, 2019

The 2019 Florida Senior Games presented by Humana finds two types of tennis being played today.  One on the courts and the other on a table.

It’s the first of six days of tennis with Men’s and Women’s Singles the Cypress Park Tennis Center in Coral Springs.  It’s the second of two days of Table Tennis at the Broward Table Tennis Club with the 70+ age groups.

Looking to extend his consecutive years medal-winning streak to 27 years, is John Shultz, of Lakeland, who is registered in Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles in the 80-84 age group.  Shultz began his streak of winning medals in the 1993 Florida Senior Games.

Temperatures for the tennis players at the Cypress Park Tennis Center in the early matches will be around 77 degrees and increase into the low 80s under a mix of clouds and sun.
