FSG Wake Up Call – Friday, December 13

Day Eight of 10 at the 2019 Florida Senior Games presented by Humana features three sports in play as athletes, age 50 and over, will take shots at pockets and return shots over the net.

The first day of Billiards is playing Nine Ball on the Tables at Beyond Billiards in Davie.  Pickleball continues at the DS Sports Plex in Deerfield Beach with Women’s Singles and Men’s Doubles competition. Men’s and Women’s Doubles Tennis looks to play catch up, at the Cypress Park Tennis Center, after being postponed on Thursday due to wet courts after off and on rain all day.

The indoor sports, Billiards and Pickleball, will not be affected by today’s weather. However, tennis will once again keep an eye on the sky, as spotty showers continue on Friday with temperatures reaching the low 80s.

For those going to watch Pickleball action at the DS Sports Plex, there’s plenty of room for spectators at court level on bleachers, and from above, as the facility has a observation area on the second floor.

Visit the Humana Oasis at the DS Sports Plex for information about the organization while relaxing on lounge furniture, a cooling station, tailgate games and giveaways.

As the Games wind down, athletes can get into the Christmas Spirit a another local event in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area as the final weekend approaches.

Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland
Join the City of Tamarac for a holly jolly night of reindeer games.  Enjoy inflatable rides, pony rides, face painting, carnival games, cookie decorating, pictures with Santa and a special appearance by Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.

Tamarac Park, 7501 N. University Drive, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
