FSG Wake Up Call – Saturday, December 14

Today is the biggest day of the 2019 Florida Senior Games presented by Humana with nine sports in action throughout the day.

The Games features sports displaying speed (Basketball), accuracy (Basketball Shooting, Shuffleboard, Billiards), power (Track and Field, Powerlifting) and agility (Pickleball, Racquetball, Tennis).  There’s something for everyone at the Florida Senior Games.

There will be plenty going on at the DS Sports Plex with the final day of Pickleball (Mixed Doubles) and Basketball.  The sounds of pickleballs bouncing off paddles and basketballs bouncing off the courts will fill the air.

The Ansin Sports Complex features the Field Events of the Track and Field competition with plenty of jumping long lengths and over high bars and throws of implements of various shapes and sizes.

The weather is scheduled to start off with a mix of clouds and sun with a chance of rain coming in the early afternoon.  The rain coming from the north will cool things off for Saturday evening where athletes can find these local events.
