To bring the first weekend of the 2019 Sunshine State Games presented by Humana to a close, athletes of the four sports in action will be pedaling bicycles, diving into the pool, rolling bowling balls down the lanes and hitting shuttlecocks over the net.
After the completion of Sunday’s events, nine sports and events will have been completed. To see results from Archery, Bag Toss, Bid Whist, Cycling, Dominoes, 5K Power Walk, 5K Race Walk, 5K Road Race and Swimming, visit https://floridaseniorgames.com/results/.
Athletes competing will be greeted with an early morning temperature of 70 degrees, with it rising to 78 by 2:00 p.m., with a few clouds here and there, and a rain change of 10% or less.
Once again, the Humana Oasis will be set up at the Coral Springs Aquatic Center. The Oasis area is meant to enhance the athlete experience with lounge furniture, a cooling station, tailgate games and giveaways. Athletes can also have a photo taken at the Humana Time Capsule and write a note to themselves to remind them to return to the 2020 Florida Senior Games in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.
