
Joann Sampson, a sprinter from Hallandale Beach, will add another footprint to her map of the United States designating all of the places she has competed, when she runs in the 2025 National Senior Games.
Now competing in the 80-84 age group, Sampson began her Senior Games journey in 2001, having never competed in a track and field meet in her life. Over the last 24 years, she has made friendships and lasting impressions on those she has met.

The 2025 National Senior Games will be in competition daily through August 4 in Des Moines. A total of 713 athletes from Florida, the most of any state in the U.S. will be in action.
