It’s day six of the 2019 Florida Senior Games presented by Humana and athletes will be swinging golf clubs and tennis racquets in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.
Tennis champions will be crowned in Men’s and Women’s Singles at the Cypress Park Tennis Center and golfers will be hitting the links at the Jacaranda Golf Club. For some golfers it’s an 18-hole competition, and for others it’s 36-holes over two days.
Over 1,500 athletes age 50 and over are competing in 24 sports at the 2019 Florida Senior Games and while five days and 12 sports have been completed, there are still five days and 12 sports remaining.
For those on the tennis courts and golf course, temperatures will range between 76 and 81 degrees on Wednesday. There’s a slight chance of rain, with the percentages reaching 35% at times during the day.
Once athletes leave the field of play on Wednesday, or if others are around for a few days before or after their competitions, here are some things to take in after hours.
